| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | O presente estudo tem por objetivo compreender o olhar científico dos viajantes naturalistas que percorreram o rio Solimões no século XIX, em busca de estudarem não somente a fauna e a flora, mas também seus habitantes. Esses estudiosos embalados pelo sucesso das ciências naturais partiram em busca de novas descobertas, em direção aos mais longínquos cantos, um desses foi o rio Solimões. Os naturalistas, que se dirigiram para essa parte do Solimões, eram botânicos, zoólogos, entomólogos, geólogos, enfim, cientistas oriundos das ciências naturais, que estavam preocupados em atender as exigências e propósitos profissionais, com os quais estavam diretamente comprometidos, porque lhes caberia descrever tudo o que se encontrava pelo caminho. Além disso, o trabalho mostra como a população desta região foi analisada por esses homens da ciência que passaram anos percorrendo seus rios em busca de coletarem dados da sua população para levaram para seus países de origem. |
| Zusammenfassung: | The present study aims to understand the scientific view of naturalistic travelers who traveled the Solimões River in the 19th century, in search of studying not only the fauna and flora, but also its inhabitants. These scholars, shaken by the success of the natural sciences, set out in search of new discoveries, towards the furthest corners, one of which was the Solimões River. The naturalists, who went to this part of the Solimões, were botanists, zoologists, entomologists, geologists, in short, scientists from the natural sciences, who were concerned with meeting the demands and professional purposes, with which they were directly committed, because it would be up to them describe everything that was on the way. In addition, the work shows how the population of this region was analyzed by these men of science who spent years traversing its rivers in search of collecting data from their population and took it to their countries of origin. |
