O erro: uma janela para visualizar as dificuldades dos alunos

Abstract

The present article presents the results of a research on the difficulties of students in solving problems with numerical expressions involving integers, arithmetic operations and sign associations. For this, the author makes use of the qualitative research in order to collect the data with techniques of observations, questionnaires. To illustrate the resolutions was used photographic record. The questionnaires were organized by levels of difficulty. The first questionnaire consisted of addition and subtraction operations involving the use of association signs, the second involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division operations using association signs. The research was carried out at the São José Operário School located in the municipality of Parintins - AM, in this school the subjects that participated in the research were the 7th grade students "2" of the afternoon shift for a total of 33 students. The analysis of the data allows to affirm that even after the content was taught in the classroom by the mathematics teacher, the students still presented difficulties. From the period of investigation and analysis of the resolutions of the questionnaires, it is concluded that some students present difficulties because they are related to the operations with the natural numbers, where only positive values consist of results.
