Levantamento florístico do Sub-Bosque de fragmento de floresta terra-firme em Tefé- Amazonas

Abstract

The terra firma forests have a wide variety of species. Thus, the need arises to carry out floristic surveys, which are of fundamental importance for the knowledge of the natural diversity of these forests, especially the understory, which is often little sampled in research. This work aims to verify the composition and the floristic richness of the understory of a fragment of Terra-fir Forest in Tefé, Amazonas. The collections of botanical material were carried out in two methodologies, the first covering local trails and collecting only fertile plants. The second in systematic collections in 6 plots of 5 m x 5 m totaling 150 m², where we collected herbs, lianas, shrubs, trees and palm trees from 30 cm to 3 m in height. All material was herborized in exsiccates and botanical identification was carried out with the help of a specialized bibliography. Samples were collected from 212 individuals, and 42 botanical families were identified; Melastomataceae (15), Rubiaceae (15), Fabaceae (15) presented a higher number of morpho-species. The genera Theobroma (5) of Malvaceae and Protium (4) of Burseraceae stood out, as they had the highest numbers of morpho-species. The sampled understory showed an expressive floristic richness, more studies are needed to complete the final survey and final identification of the species.
